16. Rainy Day Women Nos 12 & 35

I danced to this song at my first real party, with people and drinking and Halloween costumes. There was a boy I fell in love with, dark eyes. This song can be deliciously sexy if you’re tipsy enough. So much hip. Salacious eye contact. I roll the windows down and blare this song sometimes, usually before or after a concert. I feel wild and fun, and then I remember him and have to hold my breath a little, turn the music even louder to stop myself from dialing.

I’m not going to lie but whenever I hear this song, I immediately think of the Great Gatsby.

It’s definitely different. It’s not something I would listen to very often, but it’s not too bad.
